Dr. Sherry Engle retired as Associate Professor in the Speech, Communications and Theatre Arts Department at Borough of Manhattan Community College in New York City. Her research specialty continues to be on early women dramatists, as reflected in this publication, various journal articles, and A Thousand Noras: Short Plays by Women, 1875-1920, co-edited with Susan Croft. She now resides in Mexico.
